International Youth Day 2020

International Youth Day 2020

The IYD is here again!

The International Youth Day is a day designated by the UN General Assembly, as an annual celebration of the role of youth as essential partners in change, and also serves as an opportunity to raise awareness of challenges and problems facing the world's youth.

The theme of International Youth Day 2020, “Youth Engagement for Global Action” seeks to highlight the ways in which the engagement of young people at the local, national and global levels is enriching national and multilateral institutions and processes, as well as draw lessons on how their representation and engagement in formal institutional politics can be significantly enhanced

This year's IYD is an online event scheduled for Wednesday 12th of August, 2020. We have adopted the UN's theme for the IYD because it reflects a premise upon which our organization was formulated that is, the active participation of young people in societal, national, and (in this case), continental development.
