Johnson Obute, a young innovator who participated in the Startup and Innovations Camp 1.0, received funding from the A4A Youth Initiative for his signature chemical process which converts plastic bags to premium shoe polish. Research and development for the product have been completed with new products discovered in the process: by-products of the chemical process has been converted to germicides and hair cream. Initial product sales to begin in retail stores across Nigeria. 
With the export potentials the product possesses and the jobs it has already created, it is safe to say that Johnson Obute, enabled by the A4A Youth Initiative is contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic landscape of Africa. 


Africa for Africa Youth Initiative is a faith-based Non Governmental Organisation whose core focus is on providing pertinent solutions to the socio-economic and socio-political problems of Africa through the creation, development and strategic implementation of novel ideas; the provision of platforms of expression, empowerment and cross-pollination of relevant ideas for young Africans; and a systematic re-education of the young African mind to take up responsibility in becoming active participants in our pursuit of socio-economic and socio-political stability.
