AFRICA FOR AFRICA YOUTH INSPIRES COLLABORATION FOR NATION BUILDING AT THE UNFPA REGIONAL SYMPOSIUM

At the recently concluded United Nation Population Fund Regional Symposium on Gender Equality and Youth Empowerment, organized in commemoration of UNFPA at 50, and the International Conference On Population and Development (ICPD) at 25, hundreds of Youths from across South-South, South-West and North-Central Nigeria, received a call to action from Africa For Africa Youth, Kator David on capacity development and collaboration towards Nation building.

Speaking on 'Connecting the Dots: Experiences in building Alliances and the capacity of young people to influence policies and practices at regional, state, local and community levels', David asserted that young people have the capacity to address issues in Nation-building, and are doing so across the Continent with different interventions. He emphasized the need for collaboration among Youths in order to present a united front on key issues, share ideas and launch startups together to be financially empowered to effect changes in society. He also advocated for Youths to embrace the reality that, with formidable alliances, they can run for office and win.
